The original recipe I got from Grandma has just those ingredients listed. The only time I helped her make these I was about 10 so I don't remember the process very well and I'm not much of a baker.
I remember making the dough, obviously it had to rise because there's yeast. The spreading a wet dough very thin on greased pans, laying down a thin layer of poppy seeds, folding the dough over and doing the same thing to make a 'cake'. Then sprinkling a sugary crumble on top and backing until perfectly done. I'd LOVE to get an idea of what the details might have been from some of you experienced bakers out there.
