Poinsettia Cocktail


Updated version of the classic poinsettia holiday champagne cocktail

  • 1 oz Unsweetened Cranberry Juice If you can't find unsweetened then limit the amount of simple syrup
  • .5 oz Dry Curacao
  • .25 oz Simple Syrup Demerara or Turbinado gives a more complex flavor
  • 2 oz Champagne Brut / Dry
  • 3 Fresh Cranberries
  • 1 Lemon
  • Ice


  • Add ice to stirring glass (enough ice to easily cover the liquid twice- lots of ice to minimize dilution while stirring)
  • Add cranberry juice, curacao, and simple syrup to stirring glass
  • Stir until the stirring glass is thoroughly chilled- good rule of thumb is to watch for condensation on the side of the glass.
  • Strain into (preferably chilled) coupe glass
  • Top up with champagne to create a nice wash line – roughly 2 oz
  • Place 3 or 4 cranberries in glass
  • Express a lemon peel over the glass and then twist it to garnish on rim.
