Poinsettia Cocktail
Poinsettia
Updated version of the classic poinsettia holiday champagne cocktail

Equipment
- Stirring Glass
- Strainer
- Bar Spoon
- Jigger
- Coup
Ingredients
- 1 oz Unsweetened Cranberry Juice If you can't find unsweetened then limit the amount of simple syrup
- .5 oz Dry Curacao
- .25 oz Simple Syrup Demerara or Turbinado gives a more complex flavor
- 2 oz Champagne Brut / Dry
- 3 Fresh Cranberries
- 1 Lemon
- Ice
Instructions
- Add ice to stirring glass (enough ice to easily cover the liquid twice- lots of ice to minimize dilution while stirring)
- Add cranberry juice, curacao, and simple syrup to stirring glass
- Stir until the stirring glass is thoroughly chilled- good rule of thumb is to watch for condensation on the side of the glass.
- Strain into (preferably chilled) coupe glass
- Top up with champagne to create a nice wash line – roughly 2 oz
- Place 3 or 4 cranberries in glass
- Express a lemon peel over the glass and then twist it to garnish on rim.
